About AHDB

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board

The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is a statutory levy board, funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain, to help Britain’s food and farming sector succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Evidence and data

The AHDB is an evidence-based organisation, and evidence and data are at the heart of what we do. Key areas of work driven by this ethos include:

  • Helping farming and growing businesses become more efficient to meet future policy and consumer needs
  • Research into improving farm performance in areas such as pesticide use, environmental impact and animal health and welfare
  • Flying the flag for British produce at home and overseas

Tools, resources and research

We are passionate about inspiring the food and farming supply chain to achieve its full potential. We do this by developing tools and services to help farmers and growers across Britain, backed up by global market intelligence and a commitment to sharing best practice on farm.
